The Sorare scoring system for S05 fantasy football is designed to give an accurate reflection of a player’s performance. Sorare achieves this by combining two scoring metrics, a Decisive Score and an All-Around Score.
Traditionally, fantasy football games have focused predominantly on Decisive Scoring (goals, assists, penalty saves, red cards, etc) which is often criticised for being too rigid and thus favouring certain positions. Take for example defensive midfielders in FPL who often pick up 2pts despite the quality of their performance.
The addition of the All-Around Score helps level the playing field, by rewarding players for in-game actions that are not decisive, but still very important (tackles, key passes, shots on target, etc).
Sorare Scoring System
Player scores on Sorare range from 0 to 100. If you visit the profile of a player you can view their last 5 matches to track their performance. DNP stands for “Did Not Play” and means if the player was selected in your fantasy team, they would have scored 0.
What is the Decisive Score on Sorare?
The Decisive Score is a baseline score that adjusts based on positive & negative actions within the game:
Positive Actions:
- Goal
- Assist
- Penalty Won
- Clearance Off The Line
- Last Man Tackle
- Clean Sheet (GK Only)
- Penalty Save
Negative Actions:
- Red Card
- Own Goal
- Penalty Conceded
- Error That Leads To A Goal
- Concede 3 or More Goals (GK Only)
The Decisive Score is calculated using the following table. A player starts on Level 0, gains one level per positive impact and loses one level per negative impact.
Level | Points |
---|---|
-1 | 15 |
0 | 35 |
1 | 60 |
2 | 70 |
3 | 80 |
4 | 90 |
5 | 100 |
A player that starts the match begins at Level 0 on 35 points, whilst a substitute will start at Level 0 on 25 points.
Levels above 0 mean the score is guaranteed regardless of the All-Around score. This means a player on Level 1 cannot score lower than 60 points.
It may sound a little confusing, so we’ve provided various examples below so you can check you understand.
1. A player that scores a hat-trick and makes 1 assist will finish on Level 4 (minimum 90 points).
2. A player that scores a hat-trick will finish on Level 3 (minimum 80 points).
3. A player scores and makes an assist will finish on Level 2 (minimum 70 points)
4. A player that makes 2 assists but scores an own goal will finish on Level 1 (minimum 60 points)
5. A player that wins a penalty but makes an error that leads to a goal will finish on Level 0 (35 points)
5. A player that gives away a penalty and gets a red card will finish on Level -1 (15 points)
What is the All-Around Score on Sorare?
The All-Around score is calculated using the other major performance statistics that don’t have a decisive impact on the game. The All-Around score can be positive or negative, ensuring underlying performances don’t go unnoticed or fall secondary to decisive actions.

Calculating A Players Total Score on Sorare
The Decisive Score & All-Around Score are then combined to create the Total Score for that gameweek. Players at Level -1 and Level 0 are at risk of their total score decreasing, whilst Level’s 1-5 are guaranteed baselines and cannot decrease even if the player has a negative All-Around score.
Sorare Card Bonuses
A final Card Score is then created by multiplying the Player Score with the individual cards’ bonuses.
Card Score = Player Score* (1 + Bonus)
The card bonuses on Sorare are as follows:
- Captain Bonus (20%)
- Season Bonus (5%)
- Level Bonus (Varies)
The Captain Bonus is applied to the SO5 player you select as your captain. The Season Bonus only applies if your card was issued in the current season. The Level Bonus varies depending on card scarcity and the XP level of that individual card.
